Jayco Herald Sun Tour

The Jayco Herald Sun Tour (JHST) is Australia’s oldest stage cycling race and one of the country’s heritage sporting events. Riders from around the world compete in the Tour, with a long and distinguished list of past winners. In 2017, the JHST will be held from Wednesday 1 February to Sunday 5 February, and the iconic event will once again be a Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) international level event, completing the Australian Summer of Cycling. It will feature three-time Tour de France winner Chris Froome and star Colombian rider Esteban Chaves.

Kinglake has been chosen to host the final stage (Stage 4) of the event which will take place on Sunday 5 February 2017. This is an exciting opportunity for the communities of Kinglake Ranges and Murrindindi Shire as a whole. The event has the potential to attract up to 10,000 people to the Kinglake Ranges as well as significant national and international television broadcast coverage.

The Tour Village area in Kinglake will feature market stalls, mobile catering, entertainment and community activities. Vendor opportunities are available for businesses and community groups. If you would like to get involved click here to complete an expression of interest.
